Another day at the marsh

We now have two pairs of Black-bellied Whistling Ducks with ducklings. I found these ducklings sleeping under their parent's watchful eye this morning.


One of the most active birds at Green Cay are the numerous Anhingas. I caught this one silently hunting near the water's surface. Hurricane Dean has created a windy front here and it was great watching how those feet could hold on in the sway of the wind. Plus, I love how this Anhinga has all its feathers puffed out.
