Calling all birders, what is going on with this Blue-winged Teal? If you have any information about the strange color pattern on the head I would love some insight. These photos are all provided by my friend Linda Fell. She took them today at the Green Cay Nature Center.
When I watched the teal today it was on the mile trail between the intersection of the half mile/mile trail, in the small pond on the west side across from the small gazebo hammock.

Looks like a hybrid with a cinnamon teal. Do a google image search for hybrid teal and you'll some some similar looking birds.
