In two weeks we have had our house broken into twice, the last time being this Monday. The first time they got the laptops and computers and the second time they cleaned up the rest of the electronics. Now that I am devoid of a computer, Ipod, video camera, etc. I feel like maybe it's time to move. My favorite part of my current landlord's attempt at scaring away thieves is by putting this nice Beware of Dog sign up, though we don't have a dog. We did have Chico (the super chihuahua) visiting last week and this is his best attempt at looking like a guard dog. Not too threatening, huh?

Lots of rif-raf in Lake Worthless!
South Florida just isn't what it used to be, I sure hate to hear your bad news. We are barely hanging on up here in St. John's County, folks move in because where they come from is all messed up, so, what do you think they do as soon as they get here?
I appreciate what Florida once was more with each passing day. I tend to stay out in my swamp more and more, I can't bear to see things going bad.
I used to put signs up saying "This property protected by armed guard four nights a week. You guess which night!"
My property IS protected by an armed guard, me! There might be a stray cottonmouth in the yard too! I won't encourage anyones drug habit by financing it with my stuff!
Yes Sir, a number of years ago we lived in the Big Thicket of Texas. One of the girls boyfriends told me one day talk was around the school some of the seniors were going to "Hooraw" the house.
That was basically a harmless activity, except I worked shift work, and we had small children. I told the boy to spread the word I was a Vietnam vet and if they disturbed us it would be my dog and me in the woods hunting them! Needless to say they never showed up.
