Moorhen Explosion continued

Below is a series of shots taken on the Green Cay boardwalk. I was doing my normal weekly bird count when I noticed this Common Moorhen nest. As if on cue the parent saw me, walked over, and tried to cover the nest with a dead leaf. Apparently, this wasn't camoflauge enough and sitting on the eggs commenced. I waited for the parent to turn around but all I got was the butt shot. I guess this is what I get for gawking.
