Anhinga death

We have had a hurt anhinga hanging around for the past two weeks. He liked to sit on the railing and attract attention from our visitors. Of course, when I would go to look at him he would be off swimming so I wasn't too concerned. This Monday he met his death. I went out looking for him after one of our visitors snapped this picture but I couldn't find the body. I am sure some happy vulture had a nice meal.
