J.D. Corbett

This is a little preview from a hike that Andy, Rosana, Emily and I took at J.D. Corbett Wildlife Management Area. The camping is free and the day use fee is $6 a car. It's a nice deal and one that is not used by many people in Palm Beach County unless you're a hunter. Charlie, the dog, led our hike through the pine uplands and sandy dug out areas that "mudders" use when the season is wet. We found that the trails were poorly marked and the sun was relentless. After almost getting lost we were very happy to find our way back to our campsite. Tomorrow I will outline a nice 5 mile trek that Andy and I took at the WMA. Be prepared for flooded roads, scat, tracks, and more!
