Grebe fish

First of all, I must say that I LOVE grebes. I can watch them for hours: diving, playing, and showing territorial displays. This was a great series of shots taken by my buddy Bill Kominsky. I love how the little fisher doesn't give up even when the catch is obviously too big to swallow. Unfortunately, he had to leave his fish on the bank for someone else to eat.
If you come visit Green Cay right now we have dozens of Pied-billed Grebes for your enjoyment.

That's one ambitious grebe - awesome pictures!

Thanks for contacting us on our blog (Hipster Birders). We should most definitely get together for some birding sometime soon. I couldn't find your email address anywhere, but you can get in touch with us at hipsterbirders at gmail dot com. We bird whenever we have the chance, so just let us know when you're free.
