Searching for animals on the Biodiversity Blitz hike This week at Green Cay seems so quiet. Last week was spring break for most of the kids in the country. We had dozens of families streaming through the nature center and the boardwalk was packed. I was fortunate enough to have a great group of kids for the 3-day Jr. Naturalist Series. We covered everything from herpetology to botany to survivor skills. On our bird walk we even saw FOUR Roseate Spoonbills. It was a very tiring week but all worth it to be able to work with these kids. I'm missing them this week.
