Northern Shoveler

This male Northern Shoveler has been hanging out at Green Cay for two weeks now. It's getting very close to the boardwalk and staying on its own. If it is seen near another bird it's usually a coot or two. I would love for this guy to stick around all winter. We had a female Northern Shoveler stay all winter last year and this year in November another female returned but she only stuck around for a week. Perhaps this time we will get lucky.
