My friend Bill Kominsky sent me this photo this week for my birthday. He shot it at Green Cay on Monday morning out on a snag. I think the snake is a Southern Banded Watersnake. If you have another opinion let me know but it's the most common snake at Green Cay and the banding looks right when you zoom in. I hope everyone out there enjoys their Thanksgiving feast like this Red-shouldered. I'll be lounging at home and no doubt tearing into some of my Mom's great cooking.
