Bill's Birds

Green Cay attract birders, photographers, walkers, and families. I like that we can represent so many niche markets but also be a place for the general public to enjoy. The neat thing about the wildlife here is most of them are getting use to us and allow really great looks. There's a thousand times that I've wished I had my camera to capture a Bobcat or an Otter run across the boardwalk or to snap a picture of a Least Tern diving head first into the wetlands. Unfortunately, I'm not a photographer but I do have friends here that are. In this post you will see a few shots from my good buddy Bill Kominsky. I've used his photos here before and will continue to do so as long as he allows me. Below you will see a couple of the birds that are very active at Green Cay this time of year.

The first shot is hot! I snapped a series of a White Heron eating a fish last weekend in the Keys.

I love watching those Anhingas eat. And White Herons are cool..I've only seen one once in the Everglades.

Yes he does! And he even will take pictures of LBJs for me, though he doesn't know what they are.
