I feel like migration is on the tail-end here in South Florida. The highlight of this year was my lifer Blackburnian Warbler. I started the spring out hoping to finally snag a Hooded Warbler (I've only heard them) but instead I got this beauty instead. These pictures were taken by Burt Barnett, a photographer at Green Cay. He found the bird mid-day last week and I was lucky enough to come out and join him right after he took these pictures. It gave us great looks from the Oak trees in front of the nature center. It was re-found later in the afternoon but then it was gone. This weekend I'll be heading up to Georgia. Hopefully, I'll be back next week with some new tales of adventure.
