Jr. Naturalists

Spring Break for the school children of Palm Beach County came and went last week. I hosted a two day Jr. Naturalist Series. This is usually a summer series on Saturdays but it was modified for the school break. I had 11 eager students and we had a great time, though they did exhuast me by the second day. My favorite subject in the series is the Jr. Ornithology section. The kids love IDing birds on the boardwalk and dissecting owl pellets. Plus we play lots of bird games in hopes of releasing some of that energy. I probably don't say it enough, but I love my job and I especially love teaching.
